Throughout its history, the Accreditation Commission of Higher Education's (CHEA) identity has been intimately associated with fostering trust and confidence in higher education. The Commission continues to emphasise the significance of accreditation in the ever-changing higher education environment, as well as the outcomes for its students, member institutions, and the general public, which represent the highest levels of dedication to academic rigour and performance.
The Accreditation Commission for Higher Education establishes quality standards for its different member institutions. CHEA Commissioners, employees, and assessors measure, verify, and improve the quality of higher education institutions by defining objectives, equal accrediting standards, analytical self-assessments, and objective peer evaluations.
As the Commission celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019, it revealed a new logo in remembrance of its past and present, and in anticipation of its future. This logo reflects the mission, vision, and values of CHEA and is backed by these pillars:
